Default Key fob not programing

I bought a 2010 ford f150 last month and I came with a key fob that don’t work. So I seen you can program them to the truck tried that and it still didn’t work. Then I decided to buy a new key at auto zone and but the truck into program mode clicked a button on the key fob and still didn’t connect. Anyone ever have this problem and know what to do or if it can be fixed

Ive done this twice, with basic fobs I've bought off eBay. I used the procedure in the manual but found it a bit tricky as far as following the steps. I don't remember the specfics but it is doable.

edit, I stand corrected, the fob program instruction AREN'T the manual, I try to find online and post.

What I use, kind of hard to beat, two for $7, including batteries and shipping.
