Mine was doing the same thing, intermittently so I opened it up to look at what bat # it was and put it back in and now it works great with original battery. I'm thinking maybe just reseating the battery when it acts up is more the cure than the new battery, at least in my case it is.

This is great info.

Like to add that, this worked for me as well. I thought I was going to have to buy a new remote and so far it seems like it really did the trick. I cleaned up the inside while I had them open and applied some DeoxIT D100L to the contacts. Range has definitely improved compared to prior!

Well that settles that, 3 with same results can't be just a coincidence. All the years I've been wrenching it always seems to be the simplest most over looked solutions that do the trick, go figure.

I tried to get the dealership to order the parts for the TSB a few months ago and the advisor was clueless. The mechanic said he'd get them, but they haven't yet.

Update: Today I was inside the building where I work and put a small flashlight I use, in my pocket not thinking about the fob already there and someone came and told me my alarm was going off in the parking lot.

Went out to check and sure enough it was. Must have bumped the panic button with the light. I don't think the range was ever that good from day 1.

Sweet
