Default To KEEP or NOT KEEP, that is the question?

I have a White 2011 FX4 Screw, 6.5' bed on order, and as some of you already know from my other post the dealer made an error and ordered the Running boards on it. Originally I did not want them on the truck. Now that I know that they are coming on it, I'm not sure if I should have the dealer leave them on (KEEP) or removed them (NOT KEEP). My wife says KEEP, I can't decide!!! If you have a truck with a similar set up meaning, screw 6.5' bed with the running boards. I would appriciate it if you post a picture. Thanks in advance everyone!

Keep. The fixed running boards help keep road grime from spraying all over the side.

Plus, if your wife says keep, you keep. Happy wife=happy life.

Do what the wife sez. Then if you hate them take em off later and put them in the attic. When you sell it, most people prefer the running boards.

This is my 2011 fx4 screw. It only has 5.5 ft. bed, but dealer installed chrome boards. At first I would of perfered black boards, but when freshly washed it's pretty nice ( I think).

^^^IMO you really can't go wrong when you put chrome on a black truck. Looks nice!

Keep; helps protect from tire spray and errant doors. I watched a guy open his door into my truck an hour ago as I was walking back to my truck; the guy quickly walked away; just a minor scuff on the running board.

Keep them. Its a long step up into a 4x4 without them. I say that and I'm 5'11"

Keep. If your wife is as short as mine, she needs them. New ways to make a wife happy are more valuable than a diploma in auto mechanics. For big bucks they make the kind of running boards that only appear when you open a door--but you could buy lots of other mods for that cash.

I just got off the phone with my dealer, and the truck is suppose to arrive on his lot April 4th. I can't wait! I told him to go ahead and leave the running boards on the truck. He is also going to try and get the credit and everything ran as soon as he can since ford is currently running 1.9% for 72 months and he already has the VIN. Apparently the 1.9% offer expires April 4th.
