I like it. But if you aren't going to get a custom tune then you wont unleash it's full potential. That being said...I don't have a custom tune...and I like it

PS Cold enough for you Husker? I used to live in Bellevue over near Offutt... don't miss the winters...

Yeah, it was pretty cold but I am only stationed here for a bit, thank goodness. Sad thing is it's a climatic improvement, I was in North Dakota. Now thats cold.
I'll be getting one of those K&N's soon. thanks for the input.

Whynot Minot right? Gotta love the AF...one FYI is that with the CAI in the cold mornings like sub 25 temps the startup can be rough but she warms right up...just a point to consider with your history of holy crap winters.

Haven't dyno'd it so can't quantify HP but it feels like it. I can state about 1.5 MPG gain (I figure out my own MPGs, truck is inaccurate) but with the A/T tires + my lead foot I am still only rockin 12.6 around town...

Late getting to this thread, but this setup is very close to what I was looking for. I wish KC had a chrome version of the light bar. Thanks for posting this!

One question, VolFire. Did you have tow hooks on the front and did you have to take them off to install the KC light bar? We have a 2010 Platinum and have chrome tow hooks in the slots where your bar bolts in. I'm not overly worried about losing the tow hooks, but I was just curious if you originally had the tow hooks and had to take them off?

Thanks again for posting. The setup looks awesome!

MAW MAW...GET MY 12ga. ITS ANOTHER ZOMBIE THREAD!!! Second one today...

Actually where the tow hooks attach is not anywhere near the mounting points for the light bar. The light bar goes to pre drilled holes in the frame in between the plastic bumper guards for the areas above the tow hooks. Mounting the bar is incredibly easy as long as you have someone to hold it while you bolt it, open the hood, slide the light bar in from the front and then insert the bolts and backing plates and tighten, 5 minutes tops. The tow hooks have their own attachments on the frame in a different position and yes they were OEM with the FX4 package. The bar should fit on the Platinum with no problems.

Great. Thanks for the quick feedback.
