KC Daylighter and T-Rex Billet Grill Review/Install (PIC HEAVY)

Lights and bar look nice. I'd have installed the switches in the dash rather than hanging down on the brackets. The spot just right of the interior lights/dimmer looks like a good spot.

Per original post I thought about doing that (since that is what I was able to do on my last truck and it looked sick) but the plastic of the dash is too thick. The rocker switches screw off of the square surround and could screw into a tapped hole that I drilled in the dash but the threaded part of the rocker switch is VERY shallow and with how crowded the wiring is on the bottom of the rockers, if you cant get the threaded back of the rocker all of the way through the threaded hole in the dash you wouldn't be able to attach the wiring. I'm not a fan of the exposed wiring either but the switches do keep it from being visible to be in the cab when in the seat so its not bad...

Build quality is rock solid. All of the welds are excellent and when you pick up the unit you can tell it isn't going anywhere. I previously had a Westin Bull Bar and I think the two are approximately the same weight or close to it so no lightweight. Powder coating is top notch too. Definitely quality.
