Just turned 375k - any maintenance items I'm missing?
 

Changed fluids, plugs, coils, and filters. Anything else I should look for? Truck is all original with the 5.0.

Just to clarify... 375,000 km or 375,000 miles? :unsure:

Shows "mi" after the numbers so I think its actually miles instead of KM even though the speedo is in KPH.

Either way, even if it isn't miles, thats 233k miles if it were KM lol. Still impressive.

I would change the fuel filter. Filter is integrated with the fuel pump so you will get a free fuel pump with the purchase of your fuel filter. It is inside the tank so you will either have to drop the tank or remove the bed. At your mileage a new fuel pump is good preventative maintenance anyway. Nice to see a 5.0 hitting high mileage. Can't imagine an Eco doing the same.

Take the radiator cap off and drive a new truck under it. You got your money out of that one.

What does this mean lol, can't say i've heard the saying (if it is one).

As for getting rid of it, I can't imagine it has a lot of resale value left. Might as well run her till she blows. I'd have no problems throwing a motor/trans/rear at it as long as the body and interior was still in great shape.

Probably due for u-joints on the driveshaft. Look for a dark red looking powder on the u-joints to indicate they are getting bad. It's cheap and easy to do. Much nicer to work on one with an aluminum driveshaft than a rusty, flaking steel one. Not sure what yours has but I'd guess aluminum.

I'd check the front end too. Jack up one side so the tire is about an inch off the ground. You can put a big pry bar under the tire to check for play in the ball joints. Grab the tire in the middle at the front and back and try to move it to check the tie-rods for play.

You get all the fluids? Coolant, diffs, t-case, trans, power steering. Coolant hoses maybe?
