School me on my ford touch!!
Recently sold the 11 and purchased a 13 fx4. This is the first vehicle i have owned equipped with MFT. I have save a few videos about how to load new wallpapers and update maps but thats about it. What else can you do with it? I see a few different setups (like attached img) any good tutorials or instructions on this? Thanks guys

What is the attached? That is not MFT. Is that an iPad install? Or Sync3?
MFT isn't great, there isn't much you can do with it. You could replace it with a complex aftermarket setup or Sync3.

Yeah, whatever you attached is not possible on the 13-14 MFT F150s. That is some type of Android software. All you can do is change the background image. You cannot change the look or location of any of the icons/menus. You can buy a newer SD card to get the updated maps. I believe A8 is the current card. My 2013 came with A4.

It's possible, but very expensive to upgrade to Sync 3. Cool but definitely not worth it IMO.
MFT does everything that I need it to do. My iPhone does the rest. I personally like MFT, never had a problem with it and looks good. Not a fan of the white setup on Sync 3

That image attached is a custom skin for the Torque App on an Android phone or Tablet or most likely aftermarket radio
::EDIT:: NVM, Found the original post for it....

For anyone interested….
I finally finished the Coyote artwork, looks sweet IMO, I also made a better F150 logo and updated the Eco images as well. The Build Ford Tough animation is now “HD” and also includes sound, its kinda cool.
My Tasker files also were redone and streamlined a bit, they now support android 4.2.1 – Jelly Bean, however you will need Secure Settings (with the helper) and be Rooted for it to work fully/properly (due to googles new security policy in 4.2) In Secure settings, you will need to enable all the settings.
One problem I had with my installation- if I turned the truck on without starting the engine, the tablet would start up normally, if I would then start the engine some time after turning the power on, the accessory relay would cut power while starting the engine, thus turning the tablet off, then eventually on again. I included a delay in tasker that would not turn off the tablet if it senses the power on and off again within ~6s (can be adjusted) after 6s it will turn off. Doing this kinda complicated my run files, so if you decide to use them, you really only want to mess with the “Truck on/Off” or “F150 on/off “ tasks/Profiles.
I have some video demos of the 5.0 Coyote images/startup and the Eco Startup below.
Since the tablets all have different resolutions, I created several BFT animations, in the BFT scene you can change the file to “BFT-HD-x” “x” can be 1,2,3,4, or N7 the larger the number, the lower the resolution. The pre-setup tasker files can be large, 200+mb, so I created a small version with JUST the BFT-HD-4
To install: unzip the contents onto the sdcard. Copy the contents of that folder into the tasker folder, it may overwrite some files if you have a backup. (backup or load this into a new project if you want to keep your current files) go into tasker > menu > data>restore and make sure tasker is turned on.
Go here for the downloads. The images, BFT animations, etc., are also there separately. The pre-configured files are in the "Tasks" folder

it's kinda bland IMO. been with it since 2013 and no real updates (don't believe we'll see anymore - heck haven't even had one that i'm aware of). try it out and see if you like it. it does what i need which is minimal. got navigation, satellite and HD radio. steering wheel controls.

Sync 2 APIM & Screen from a 2017 Mustang - $500
Sync 3 Media Hub Mount and Wiring Harness - $80
Sync 3 Media Hub - $60
Already had a Bluetooth OBD2 adapter, and Forscan which is free.
I do agree - It's hard to justify when it's $1500+ for the kits they sell. My biggest reason for doing it was to get Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto. I do like the "night mode" and other updated features.
