Default just a tip on the trailer sway control

it doesnt work too good when you have two trailers hooked end to end.. in this case, a drilling rig hooked to the end of a water trailer.. i was cruising down the highway about 50mph and decided to try it out.. so i gave the truck a quick "wip" causing the rig to make little wip action then just let the truck take it from there.. it didnt loose control or anything but everything the truck tried to do was counter acted by the rig.. just food for thought....

In Colorado its illegal to pull bumper to bumper trailers. Was the rig a gooseneck?

Ok, that maybe right up there with posting about drag racing another vehicle... So you intentionally tried to wreck your truck and trailers??? I am all for trying to find out where the limits of your vehicle are but going down the highway at 50 is probably a dumb as hell place to do that... Good job for posting what not to do...

well its legal in louisiana and we do it everyday.. 70mph down the interstate.. and yes i was curious to see if the trailer sway control would bring it back under control.. I thought it was interesting how the rig in the back was counteracting everything the truck was trying to do..

Either that shows your lack of experience or the level of crazy that you are ok with... The sway you are talking about very quickly can become a very large and nasty accident... Again, good job on telling people what not to do...

BTW in some states it is ok to marry a 14 year old, that doesn't make it right!!!

Must have been a tiny drilling rig and a tiny water trailer.

This is one of the reasons I have been a little harsh... He either brags beyond reality or puts people in danger... I can imagine this stupidity driving down the road...

Yea I find it hard to believe you're pulling a 13,000 lb. trailer at 80 mph. Although I will shut my mouth if you post a picture of it! Everyone has camera phones these days.

haha.. thanks for being asses.. I'll take all the pics you want of me pulling the 13k rig at 80mph up hills.. whatever

the rig i'm referring too isn't the same rig.. idk how much it weighs, but not much.. probably like 1000-1200lbs?..idk.. the water trailer isnt much either

sorry I wasnt clear on that.. the rig def weighs less than the trailer which makes it possible for towing behind the water trailer..

I on the other hand am experienced... maybe even more so than yourself.. idk.. backing two trailers end to end isn't easy and i"ve been doing it since I was 12..

Cool, good to know people try new stuff. Also I do belive pulling a trailer is not an issue with how fast you can go, its when you need to stop is the issue. 13k is only 1500lbs from what its rated to tow 11500 with max tow pkg.
