That is the reason I don't understand the whole "black out the chrome" deal. If one wanted that look....why spend the extra on an XLT? Just get a "loaded' XL trim. Each and every F-150 needs FX lights in it's life. Take a look at sllydderrr's truck. He's got chrome with FX lights and it just blends better. Every single F-150 looks good with them and needs them to look complete. Even the Platinum and XL. I get it when buying used though: you can't always get what you want and often go for for what you need. Then tweak later! FWIW, I vote that the chrome stays.
