Such a beautiful truck man. Very nicely done. Only thing I was going to say was maybe black exhaust tips but you already have those planned.

Haha thanks! Yeah, I dont like the chrome either. But the exhaust was free so I'm not complaining too much.

Love it, you did a great job, great photos as well, what I would love to know is how does it sound. I'm trying to find a good sounding EB exhaust system that's designed just like your truck shows. Do you happen to have any clips of it running in diff modes are you happy with the sound and preference from the BST? Again great truck....

This one the Borla S Touring?

Thanks for the compliments. I have the Borla Touring. The S-Type is a little bit louder. The Touring is the most subdued. For my uses, its perfect (except the tips but that can be changed). Its very quiet while cruising, no rasp, and decent sound when wide open. Its still a turbo v6 so its not as raw as a v8. During cold starts it sounds particularly nice, kinda like a mini diesel with a lot of turbo whine, but goes away after it warms up. This video does a pretty good job of comparing the two. Its on Borla's website as well.

I did not use hub spacers. The wheels are +18 offset and the tires 305/55/20. No vibrations at all.

Borla S Type vs Touring

Well the stock hub diameter is 87.1 and those are 108 so I was told you had/should use hub spacers to make up the difference or they will eventually vibrate. Those are lug centric and not hub centric wheels.

Here is some more information. It could cause other issues such as losing a wheel.

I was actually unaware of this. I did not use any hub spacers. When I first read your post I thought you meant wheels spacers. I always called hub spacers hub-centric rings. Now that I'm on the same page, I see your point.

I do not have any vibrations. I just made a 1300 mile trip out of state and back and traveled 70-80 mph without any odd vibrations. The truck actually rides better than stock, due to the shocks and tires. I did hand torque all my wheels, and re-torque a week later when I installed them, using gorilla lug nuts. I will likely get some hub spacers soon just for piece of mind, but to date it has not been an issue.

Sorry for the confusion; I just learned about this issue when I started researching getting new wheels/tires so I wasn't using correct terminology. I figured others may not know as I didn't and is why I asked. I want my truck to look nice but want to ensure any mod I do doesn't sacrifice safety for vanity.

As long as you are using acorn or ball seat lugs and can properly mount a wheel, the hub rings shouldn't be required since they only center the wheel and don't carry any load.

Copied from another site: "Many say that hubcentric rings aren't needed to properly mount and center a wheel. If one properly mounts a wheel by using the correct aftermarket lug nuts, hand tightening in a star pattern, and torquing to the proper specification, then a wheel will be centered."
