It's not so much the lift but the heavier tires that the stock shocks have trouble keeping up with. Suspension travel is still the same with the lift.

Yes the 5100's are great! I run them at top height and it rides just like I want, firmer but a good firmer!

That's part of the reason I am sticking with my Nitto G2's. They are the biggest tire I can find that are only 4 ply, keeping them relatively light.

I agree with the heavier tires causing an issue, but raising the truck also raises it's center of gravity. This makes the shocks have to work a little harder to keep chassis movement under control. I drove a GMC for 10 years with a 6" lift. I was very pleased with the Bilsteins ability to control the vehicle.

Are going to install the lift yourself? I'd be interested in hearing how things line up and overall build quality of the kit.

I will be assisting my buddy who owns a shop. He does lots of custom work including lifts. He has not used rough country before so we are both curious how this will come out. I had a 4" rancho on my previous chevy and I did not like the lift, especially how it pushed the front tires out 2 inches. I will definitely give you his full opinion regardless.

Dropped the truck off yesterday. He's going to get things started. He's undercoating the truck to get it ready for the winter before we start on the lift tomorrow.

Was at the shop yesterday and today. She's all done, but I can't take her yet. He had to get home for Halloween and wants to put some miles on her before he hands it over. The first picture was one he texted me. They undercoated the truck first and wanted to be thorough so they removed the bed. He thought about the cab also. That would have totally freaked me out.

Love it. Been thinking about taking a week off work and putting this same lift on myself to be nicer to my UCA's and get some more ground clearance as I have almost high centered myself a few times

Installed the kit on my truck on my carport using jack stands, floor jack and air tools. Took about 5hrs. 4wd will obviously take longer as you have to cut a little to make clearance for the front differential drop brackets.
