Dynos all around showing those numbers at the crank. Sorry you don't like that the ecoboost stock, and with a simple tune offers far more usable power the the base 5.0. Glad you are happy that you can supercharge your engine for the price of a used mustang to get good power. Want a prize?

Obviously a Eco-Hater. That's fine. But you should squirm your way over to the 5.0-only threads. Jealousy doesn't, nor will ever buy you any points around here. Try contributing something in a positive way.

I have the HyperTech tune. I did the 87 octane tune. Their dyno results (which, BTW, were corroborated by Morgan's Machine Speed Shop's tech guy - where I bought my tuner) claims 65hp increase on the 87 tune (85hp on the 91 octane tune). The factory 365hp rating + 65hp = 430hp.

After the tune, it definitely has more than a little more horsepower. I.e. very noticeable increase in throttle response and pull.

Good enough for me.

Not you? Let's race (for "pinks"... unless you don't really own your own truck.)

I'm sorry, now I'm just getting nasty. My apologies.

Yes I would love a prize... I was surprised you were getting that much extra from a tune so I asked... not like I spend my days looking over tunes for an engine I don't own...

Then maybe don't spend so much time commenting (negatively) about an engine you don't own?

Just sayin'...

And yes, a tune for a 5.0 realizes 10-20hp while the 3.5L turbo tunes (same company) realizes 65-85hp. I know, I had the same astonished comments and questions before I bought one!

Only 2 rules:

1- you're limited to *1* mod (your choice), just like me
2- *YOU* have to own (not making payments on) the truck you use to race, and have the 'clean' title in hand.

squid...
