Is it just me, or should they be taking more off of the price of this STX?

Its a bit higher that a "BASE" entry level STX.....First, its a 4x4. That adds 3-4 grand, its got a 5.0, there's another grand.... the option package is discounted, so its only another 300-400 worth of options.

Still doesn't look like an good deal. XLT has a better option package, has more rebates.

I paid 29 for my stx sport extended cab with 3.55 and electronic locker back in February. They also threw in a trailer brake controller, bed mat and some oil changes. There are much better deals out there especially this late in the season.

That's almost 2 grand over MSRP.

There is a similar truck here and they gave a dealer discount of 2500 (which was like x plan pricing), and the rebates were 7,000 (IN TN).

so, that's 9,500 off (of 37610), which would make 28,110 ...he has it priced at 29,499.... So still a little high . . . you'd have to know if there have been any dealer add-ons to compensate for his higher than msrp asking price.

AS ALWAYS, dealers advertise ALL REBATES available to make the price attractive......... Ford financing 1250, trade in -1500, etc etc...those quickly reduce the rebate amount if you aren't going those routes.
What they do is advertise the sticker price before the package discounts form Ford. If you look at the sticker it starts out at 39,110.00

Yeah, I've been watching the prices since then. So what surprises me is that it apparently has gone up in value with age on the lot

With the ranger amount they gave you, I wonder if my Focus would have some sort of loyalty rebate. Anyone know anything about that?

I been dealing with car dealers all week.

Strangely enough, THREE dealers still think they can sell 14 STX's at invoice. Only about 5,000 in rebates depending on the options, and whether you finance, and whether you trade.

The XLT's, different.....they'll sell them at invoice minus their holdback (so they're giving another 1,200 potentially as well)....Rebates have been around 8,250 here (again finance, trade, loyalty, and $250 in dealer cash some may give you).

There are ALOT of stx's on lots here, yet the xlt's are flying.

Default not sure

I live in S.C. and I paid 28,499 for my 2014 STX Sport in August of that year. It listed at 37,785 so I got over 9k off of mine. The incentives were better at The end of 2014, not in August when I bought mine.

Is this a good/bad deal at this point?

Just looking for input, I just got a quote for a Silverado with much better options for only a $1500 more.
Call woodhkuse ford in Blair ne. I'm also in minneapolis and the woodhkuse dealer was thousands less than local. Worth the drive

I was just curiously looking at carmax prices. We don't have one in my area.
Anyways, trucks similar to my 2013 fx4 w/402a package and 15,500 miles were priced between $35,000 & $42,000.
Hell mine was $50,000 and negotiations started at $40,000.
I would say that truck is a bit too high, but it's the 'in-demand' truck right now.
