hey sorry i was refferring to the stock mirrors that came from the factory. Providing you have the correct defrost control the heat should work!!! check other threads relating to this!!!. Before i purchased these i went to the dealer to buy a set of standard towing mirrors with no heat, No puddle lamp just turn signal and they wanted $500.00 a mirror!!

Default temperature sensor?

it mentions that they do not have the ambient temperature sensor built in. does this mean it wont tell me the outside temp anymore?

No issues, the heat portion will just not work. Puddle light, signal and electric adjust should work as all trucks are pre-wired for that.

The Ford Accessory ones are part number DL3Z-17696-BA, I have found those to be better built t, and the mirrors tend not to vibrate as much as the Aftermarket ones. But they are about $150 more.

Ambient Temp Sensor is not in the Mirrors for the F150s, so no issues. I think they have that added because other vehicle brands have them in the mirrors. For the F150, it's under the hood, in front of the radiator.

I wonder if the 2013 sensor is in the grill too (and not in the mirror).
