On mine it collapses to about 6-8". I can fit my motorcycle (street bike) and still close the gate of that gives you a rough estimate.

No, it rolls all the way open or closed.

I love mine. I keep all my crap in there and lock it. Just be sure you invest in a lock for the other side. If you don't, my lock sort of screwed up so I have to install another but it works. I just have to crawl in the bed and slide the lock. One of these days I'll do it. But for what I need it for, once it's locked, it's good. I RARELY open it as there is no need for me. I can grab whatever I need once the gate is down. Inside I have stroller and a Tupperware of misc stuff like seat covers for when folks are dirty, tie downs, etc. nothing major but that jogging stroller is expensive. Most people have no idea how to even open it so as of today after and few years, no one has broken into it (knock on wood). Hen again, I keep the truck clean and clear so everything of value when I'm going from spot to spot is inside the bed. Thieves tend not to bother if the inside has nothing.

Hey Heath, I'm very impressed with everything I've read about your cover. I'm looking to purchase one for my 2016 XLT 5.5 bed and I'm interested in the forum discount! Thanks!

Default interested in cover as well.

I am currently in the market for a cover on my new 2017 XLT Screw. There seems to be a discount for forum members buying the Peragon. The cover seems to have everything I need inlcuding the all important USA stamp! Can I get a PM with the discount? Also is there any discounts for Retrired military or EMS?
