Hell if I know, I'm in Parts, that's a question for the service department.

Local dealer has an Excellent parts guy, place down the street has an excellent parts lady, unfortunately they are both due to retire soon. The people that replace them will probably suck.....like the rest of the service department personnel they have.

It's sad when you have to double check the work of a professional, but that's how it is these days. However, some of these professionals are kids right out of school.

In the quick lube dept, that seems to be the case. At mine there has been the same manager out there, since I had my 2005.
So it's always good to see him. He seems to stay on them.
Regardless tho, I always pull into the Chinese restaurant lot, wait a few, and then check my level and the plug for drips.
It's gotta be done, 18 yrs or 50 yrs old. Even the best employee can make a mistake.

7.5 qts gets mine near the full line on my dipstick. The one time I put in 7.7 qts it sent it just over the full line.

Maybe, but its been that way as long as I can remember. You sure don't get their A-team for an oil change
