just dumb founded BFG vs Duratracks
Hi guys i cant justify running 2 sets of tires so im looking to get a slightly larger all year round tire as i think the perilles on the 20's are not big enough and its to easy to scratch a rim. i have narrowed it down to 2 tires we do get snow and i do know a guy that runs the BFG At's up north and likes them but i have herd the Duratracks are good in the snow whats everyone think i actually have no clue which one to buy :s
i do off road a bit nothing extreme mainly in the winter as it seems safer on the truck :p and can any one tell me how long they last i do a lot of camping some times on sand etc.
and which one would be better on gas ( not good just better:p)
the size i am looking at is something around a 285/60/20 or a 295/60/20 also if anyone can tell me how big this is 33" ? and how much bigger this is from stock i just ordered a RC 2.5 inch level

I had the same concern so I went with 18" and BFG AT/KO. I've had them for 7k miles so far and they work well in snow and not loud at all on pavement. I've read that the Goodyear's are excellent tires too. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I think my next set of tires will be Duratracs.

That would be a tough call. I personally think the BFG has that classic look and is one of my favorite tire design, but the duratrac looks great too and I've heard nothing but good things about its performance in all conditions. What's the price point of each tire?

i haven't looked at the price but im not to concerned as im only getting one set so a few hundred dollars doesn't bother me for the better of the 2 and does any one have pictures or any on there truck ? i agree with the classic look ^ but cant but help think the dura's will be better in a messy situation

My last pair of BFG AT's lasted me about 60k miles give or take. Did me just fine in DC, even during the blizzards we had a few years ago. I'm going to be picking up some Duratracks soon just to give them a run since I like the looks and hear good things.
