Default Joining the Eco-shutter Club....

Didn't think it would happen to me, but it did!

Driving on the highway around 110km/h, went to accelerate, and the truck was misfiring and shaking-happened about 3 times going one direction. No CEL or anything. On my way back, it happened once, my passengers noticed that one-almost felt like something broke underneath. Weather conditions were cloudy, about 11*C. Not raining though.....I did not have it on cruise control either!
Again, no check engine lights or warnings popped up.

Adding this to the long list of problems with my truck:

1) Misfire
2) Tailgate squeak(came back 1month after the dealer lube the hinges)
3) Clunk in differential when shift to reverse(clicks twice) and one clunk when I decelerate from about 70km/h
4) differential cover/housing showing oil stains
5) when going to reverse from drive, its slow to engage.

Truck has 26,000km/s. Its my weekend/evening truck as I have another work van. Mostly highway miles on it, average about 13-15l/100km. Lately its been above 14l/100km due to colder weather..Haven't towed a thing with it, mostly use the bed and its not heavily used either...

I know there's a lot of complaints, but if anyone has had successful solutions to any of this, let me know....

Hi johnt2_2002,

Do you have an appointment with your dealer to get this checked out? Please send me a PM with your VIN, full name, best daytime phone number, and servicing dealer so I can assess how to best help.

Thanks! I actually just booked an appointment for next week. I want to see how they will handle this before I get you involved. I like to give my dealer an opportunity first, however if things start going downhill, I'll message you. Thanks again!!

just a thought, as my service writer asked me if there was a check engine light.

Although there were no CEL or warnings, does the truck store any fault codes at all if there is a problem and still not show a CEL?

just went out for a short test drive, probably 10-15 mins tops. I was able to get the truck to shudder/misfire easily. I drove at 100km/h for a few seconds, gave it about 1/2 throttle, easily shook and missed-did it about 3times. Again, not raining outside and it was 5*C. I don't think its a CAC problem though, I'm thinking a spark plug issue like many here had or a coil pack.

Truck goes in on Tuesday...

Dealer called earlier and said the truck was ready. They did tsb 13-7-7 rear clunk and tsb 13-08-1 for the misfire. Picked it up, drove for less than 20min on the highway--got it to misfire a few times easily.

Turned around and went back to the dealer. Suggested looking at the spark plug gaps. They will look into it tomorrow....

Any other suggestions? And for tsb 13-08-1, does anyone have the full document for it? Thanks
