Its Been A While - New MODS!
Its been a while fellas. Anything new and exciting?
Now that my truck isnt my daily drive it normally sits for weeks at a time, but now that its hunting season ive been driving it a little more and recently have done some more mods.
The first mod was a 31" LED light bar behind the grill. I decided to add it after heading up to the hunting camp at midlight and seeing 50-60 deer along the side of the back roads. It worked great spotting them before i was ontop of them. I just wasnt a fan of how much it stood out, so i ended up applying a tinted vinyl on the lens to help conceal it. Couldnt be happier with the way it turned out.
Heres another shoot of the light with my sons two Raptors
The next mod has been over a year in the making. About 2 years ago i got a set of OEM 2013 Limited 22"s. My plan was to have them powder coated in a color similar to my stock FX wheels. Well that was the plan until i saw a set of 2016 Limited Expedition 22"s and liked them alot better. So i tried selling the 2013 wheels to put towards the 2016 wheels with no luck(still have the 2013 wheels for sale, CHEAP). Anyways since i didnt sell them i started putting cash on the side to get the 2016 wheels. After getting them in i had a little issue. Being as i wanted to powder coat the wheels and not paint, the center caps created a issue because they were plastic and plastic cant be powder coated. After 2-3 different ideas i finally bought a piece of solid aluminum round stock and machined my own. My dads lathe was just to small to make all of them so after i made the first one i brought it to a machine shop and told him to copy it. Once those were done i brought the wheels and caps to the powder coater to have done. While they were there i ordered new TPMS Sensors and Tires. Last week i got the call saying they wheels were done. Im super excited the way they turned out. Havnt mounted them on the truck yet but hopefully next week the caliper covers i ordered will come in and ill have time next week to install.
The finaly product!
2016 Limited Expedition 22X9.5" Wheels Powder Coated Alien Silver Base Coat with a Tinted Clear II Top Coat & 33X12.50R22 Toyo MTs
Finally i order a new Omega tune to try it out. Only have a couple miles on the truck since loading it but so far i like it alot. Will be sure to report back once i get some more miles and datalogging done.

Very clean and tasteful mods, Wayne!
Are you wiring electrical accessories directly to the battery or are you using another method to manage the wiring?
And another question, are you still pleased with your Boss coil overs and Icon UCA combination? Did you ever have an issue with the rear Boss shocks riding harsh?

I love the Bosses(Front and Rear) as much as the day I bought them as i do today. Never found it to ride harsh at all. Idk if my Stiffler traction bars control this issue or not but I absolutely love the ride of them!

I drilled and tapped 3 - 6mm set screws on each cap at the exact spot that it caught the inner lip of the center cap hole, basically pulling it tight against the wheel.
