Thanks guys, glad I have the stickers now!

I'll make some offers and give it another day. I'm not going to give in and start shopping on the lot. It's 2012. Internet deals are common for most automakers.

If getting a very average deal is out of the question with Ford I'll save my sanity and just buy the competition. Ford makes the best trucks but not by a huge margin IMO. The torque curve on the 5.0 is unimpressive and build quality/reliability is roughly the same as Toyota and Chevy per most third party reports. If I can get a chevy with similar stats for 4-5K less I'll just use the money saved and very easily make it a truck superior to that of the stock Ford.

I'll give it another day and then see what Chevy has to offer. Sorry for my whining, it's frustration talking.

You're comparing chevy to Ford? Go compare the torque curves of the 5.3 to the 5.0...

Oh, it's better. Agreed. But if I can get a 5.3 for 5k less than a 5.0, which seems realistic as of now?

Sheeeeit.

1K into the 5.3 and it would already be better. Shoot w/ 5k I could throw a turbo on it, lol.

Now compare transmission, interior, exterior, build quality, etc and see which is on top. Also depends on if the Chevy dealers are willing to deal at all...

I got a 2012 Ecoboost Crewcab last week with 1100 miles on it for $28,600...salesman of the month had been driving it. MSRP was 38,800.

5k difference? I payed Invoice for my XLT and got a good amount for my trade. Comparing The XLT to a Chevy with the "Technology package" there was less than 1500$ difference in price and both of those packages were very similar. 5.0L won me over, the 5.3L felt SORT OF close to the 5.0L until 3000rpm where the 5.0L cranked up the torque and said bye bye to the 5.3L. Heck, the 5.0l felt pretty comparable to the 6.2L Chevy above 3000rpm.

Go to www.ford.com, then click on 'search dealer inventory' under shopping tools. Enter your zip code and pick your dealer. Then go to the vehicle you want, on the left side click the link that says 'view window sticker.'

here's a nice truck at my local dealer for $50 grand.

I would recommend to the OP a little patience.
I waited and researched exactly what I wanted in a new truck then worked with the dealerships to get $500 under invoice before rebates. I took going to a few dealerships but once I talked to a sales manager who wanted to play ball I put my order in that day. 6 weeks later I went and picked up the exact truck I wanted down to every detail and option.
I would rather wait a couple months and get what I want in a truck that I have to live with for the next 6+ years rather than, compromise for instant gratification.

If you like the internet and are willing to travel go to www.woodhouse.comThey sell more ford trucks than anyone else in the country. I live 20 miles from them so it was easy for me. Studied everything they had via the internet. I printed the window stickers of three trucks I was interested in, went there and said please show me these three trucks. Took them about 10minutes to get all three of them sitting next to each other in the parking lot. Ended up buying part of two of them. The truck that I wanted had everything I was interested in except it had 20 inch wheels. Truck next to it had 18 inch tires on wheels I liked better. I said if we can get together on the money will you swap the wheels and tires and they said yes. Drove off 90 minutes later in my new F150.
