Issues with locking diff??
So yesterday when I drove to work, my truck stopped dead while turning into a parking spot. Had the 4WD on since it was really icy outside. I felt like the motor and trans wanted to go but something else was holding it back and the brakes were applied even though they weren't. Then today, while driving home in 2WD and turning around a tight corner I could feel the rear lock up and the tires hop around. Is this a common issue not to worry about, or do I need to have this checked out..?
Did you have the locker engaged? Was the truck real unstable which the tires spinning. I know that cutting a sharp corner when it's wet will overcome anything the traction control can do in 2wd. Did you hear or feel the telltale brake engagement of the system trying to keep everything in line?
more than likely when you engaged the 4 wheel drive with the switch you accidentally engaged the locking rear diff. It is really easy to do this. you simply pull the switch out to engage the locker. try pushing in on the switch and that should solve the problem. BTW, the locker automatically disengages after i believe 30 mph and then then re-engages under 30. let us know what happens.

OP was the locker light on in the dash cluster when these occurrences happened?? Or have you modified the TCCM and switch with one from a 2011 Raptor to gain the ability to lock rear in 2wd???
Maybe you Traction control did something funny, was it slippery when you made the turn?
The locker was not on or engaged when pulling into the parking spot. That was the first thing I thought. Does the front diff lock as well as the rear as for some reason I feel like the front end was what was holding me back. And when going home, the road still had frost and ice on it. Maybe hit a patch of ice and spun itself crazy??
