Issues with Bilstein 5100 2010 2wd install

Added New rims and tires. 285/70/17 BFG AT KO's on 17X9 procomp rims. No rubbing so far but I have yet to push it in the dirt. More pics in album. Tampa, I am going to try and get you a measure when I remember, every time I look at it now I get all googly eyed, forget what I am doing, and wonder what's next.

Tampa-
Here are the measures from top of wheel well to center of rim after new tires. I consider the top of the wheel well to be the highest point on the ^ shaped wheel well exterior, not inside of the wheel well-
front 25 inches
back 23.75 inches
On those measures I would give or take a 1/4 inch, its hard to get a straight line from the true center of both rim and wheel well.
Using my original points of reference from previous post, the measures after new tires are-
front 19 inches
back 19.25 inches
It's becoming clear that this is not an exact science . . .
And yes, the 285/70/17's are 32.7 X 11.2 tires. But I just measured them out of curiosity and see that they are a hair over 32 inches and a hair over 11.2 inches on the truck. If you can imagine how a tire changes shape under the weight of the truck this makes sense that you would lose a little height and gain a little width. Again, not an exact science.
Tampa, I see your planning on getting close to my setup with the bilstein 5100's and larger tires. I'm having problems with traction control kicking in when it shouldn't, see recent thread on this issue. Otherwise the setup is working great!

Gas Mileage
First off... looks great! Great thread, too.
Was wondering what kind of gas mileage you are getting with the new tires & all? Calculated vs. read out on the display, if you don't mind.

Crazy Ben,
Gas mileage is definitely down. On the gauge with the truck stock I was getting 15.5 mpg average. Average for me is leadfooted city and highway driving with lots of hills. Now the gauge is at 11.7 mpg. I was pretty troubled by this so I computed it myself over three tanks-
Tank 1 - 12 mpg. Included climbs up grade and some off road.
Tank 2 - 9.1 mpg. Included towing 8000 lb for about half those miles.
Tank 3 - 13.6 mpg. Average driving.
I am pretty sure the gauge is skewed to show less mpg's due to the speedo error caused by the bigger tires. At highway speeds I am losing 5-10 miles. For example, if the speedo reads 70 mph I am actually going 77 mph. In one hour at this speed I would have gone 7 miles further than the truck's computer thinks I went. The mpg gauge will take the short mileage (70 instead of 77) and divide it in to the gas used to come up with the wrong answer.
