Default Issue after programming key using ForScan

I ordered a secondary key for my '13 f150 and used forscan to program it. I have done the same process on my mustang and expedition with no issues.

I was able to program the key and the fob, but now when i start my truck using the OEM key, the locks cycle. If I use the new key, it starts like normal. I have reprogrammed it multiple times even in the opposite order and the OEM key keeps cycling the locks one time when I start it. Any ideas?

Did you read the Forscan thread. There were a couple of people that were going to try it and the consensus was that all the keys had to be deleted and then added in, iirc. What steps did you follow?

Yeah, only the last few pages have really dealt with keys and I haven't noticed it anyone has actually done it yet.

So both keys start the truck, but the OEM key cycles the locks?

I just did this with my truck, have had zero issues. I only had one key to begin with, deleted all of them, then reprogrammed the original and my new key that I purchased from fairway ford via ebay. Did you buy the truck used and if so are you 100% sure the original key you have was not a clone?

Back from the dead!
Did anyone ever figure out the problem and how to fix it?

Background on my truck - 2011 just purchased and only came with one key (remote start and lock functions on the key head). I paid the dealer to cut and program a new key, this one is the basic plastic key without any remote functions. Original key cycles the locks when I start the truck, new key does not. Took back to the dealer, they deleted all keys then reprogrammed and I still have the issue.
