Absolutely lame... just one more thing to distract and already under attentive driving public.

But, wanna know something funny? BMW has been doing it to their cars -from the factory- for several years now. It's all piped into the factory sound system.

If sound is what you want, get the real thing (5.0/6.2 V8). If HP is what you want, get the EcoBoost.

Pisses me off, I don't want old timey loud *** V-8 sound.

I bought the Ecoboost for power and quiet.

Yeah, listen to my sound system roar fake sounds for engine throttle. WTF

I'm sure it can be disabled. Obviously enough ppl want SOME sound, or ford wouldn't waste $$ putting it in the trucks. It's dumb to me too, but I understand why some ppl who only use their eyes and ears to drive would like it.

Always had loud vehicles. Keep thinking about changing the exhaust out on mine now, but I like the quiet too much. I wouldn't want a fake sound.

That's what is wonderful about the 5.0. It's quiet until you mash it, then it roars.
I would like to hear the 5.0 now that it's up to 380 HP in the 15's

Doesn't the 5.0 have more HP than the ecoboost?! That is pretty lame that Ford wants owners to think their V6's actually sound good by piping in fake engine sound.

this is true... the 5.0 has more HP, but the eco has more TQ. oh, those damn turbos.

didn't know the BMWs have been doing this as well. it's crazy what companies are willing to do to make their cars 'sound' good.

Tesla's have NO sound and are fast as SH**!!!!

Ahh should of been more specific. HP was being thrown around, not torque.
