Default Intermittent Window Problem

Looking for some advice and maybe just venting a little bit here.

My truck is a 2014 regular cab so it only has two windows. From very early on occasionally the windows do not respond to presses of the buttons on the driver side. I don't know if the passenger side button ever fails but I don't think it has ever happened.

Both windows have not responded to presses of the buttons on the driver side. I notice it most on the driver side window, most likely because I use that one the most. Sometimes the window will go the way I pressed and then go back the opposite way a little bit. The passenger side has made a couple weird noises when going up as well.

The most common thing to happen is I press the driver side button and nothing happens. I can continue to press the button with no response from the window for random amounts of time and then it will work like nothing is wrong.

I brought it to the dealer to have them take a look, hoping maybe they could pop into the door and make sure the windows were sitting in their tracks properly.

The service guy told me that they would have to reproduce the problem in order to fix it. He tried the windows a few times and of course they worked like nothing was wrong.

I left the truck there to see about something else which also couldn't be reproduced and I returned a little later to take a ride with the service guy. While driving around I went to put my window up and sure enough it wouldn't work for maybe 3 clicks and then it went up. The service guy saw it happen, But apparently that wasn't good enough and a different type of service guy would need to see it happen and that he wasn't going to make a note that he saw it happen. He suggested I should wait until the issue gets worse and then come back so they can reproduce it and then fix it.

Kind of annoyed about that part.

So any ideas out there on what I can do, bring it to a different dealer and hope the window acts up with someone in the car again?

open the driver's door and check the connections. I had this from time to time on my 13. I would hit the arm rest, just under the switches and it would work again. Opened it up and the connection wasn't fully engaged. I setaed it up and no more problems.

Open the door as in take the panel off or is there a connector between the body and door that could be loose?

Mine does it when the truck is moving, but work flawlessly when stopped. I think the issue might be with the bounce back feature not liking the bumps in the road, stopping or accelerating!

I am taking the truck in to have a couple of things checked on it in a couple of weeks. Will update you on what they find out about it then
