The center console on my new F150 is so deep. The tray that came with it that sets on top is nice but once it is loaded with stuff, I find it difficult to use the storage area beneath.

Has anyone found a useful insert like the one that came with the truck but with a little more depth? Any other input as to how to make better use of this?

I found a twelve pack makes a good shelf................

 

I found similar results with a 6 pack of tall boys!

 

Interesting concept

Step 1: remove electrical
Step 2: drill drain hole
Step 3: Water proof around drain hose and where electrical was removed
Step 4: Add 12 pack with Ice.

 

You mention a tray inside the console? My XLT came with nothing but a kleenex holder built on the underside of the top cover.........Wonder if I'm missing something? Of is somebody filtched the tray that was there?

 

I think he is talking about the flow through console with the floor shifter. In that case I don't think your XLT has that they are all bench seating right?

 

correct... he is referring to a console like in the Lariat.... it has a nice little tray that sits in it. has coin holders, card holders and just a tray
