Default Interesting Lighting Ideas

Hey guys, I'm starting this thread so we can all share the unique lighting we have on our trucks. Whether you have aftermarket headlights/taillights, LED bulb swaps, or custom lighting in and on your truck, share it below!

besides adding a 20 inch light bar up front in the bumper, a 10 inch single row on the rear bumper step above the hitch receiver, i also flush mounted some rigid single row driving lights in the front bumper pads and diffused pattern in the rear bumper. originally bought two sets of cubes that are mounted behind the grill but i seldom use them anymore. i built my own set of retrofits that include switchback led strips and demon eyes but one of the ballasts went out. they sent me a free replacement but never did reinstall them. they now sit in my basement. haha. i'll end up selling them at some point.

I did Raptor style grille lights but added a little “twist” to them. Each pod has 15 LED’s. I made little covers to block out the center 5 on each one.

I just did them last month so time will tell. These also came from f150led's. I've had pretty good luck with their stuff in the past (Interior bulbs, area lights, bed lighting) so I figured I'd give them a try. With all 15 lit in each pod, they were a little too bright for my liking. The covers tone them down a little and give them a slightly different effect.

I uploaded that picture from my phone and just realized when looking on a larger screen that it's the picture I took when I was "experimenting" with covers. If you look closely, you could see that the centers are covered up with pieces of electrical tape. The tape has been removed and I covered them with 3-M vinyl wrap.

- Morimoto fogs to better match my HIDs
- Raptor style LEDs in the grille
- LED puddle, mirror reflector/blinkers, 3rd brake light, tail lights, 2-way license plate lights, full interior lights

At some point I plan on putting a post up in member builds to go through everything haha

2010 FX4. LED headlights and fog lights. LED bulbs elsewhere too.

I'd love to hear if anyone has rigged a relay to trigger the fog lights with an Ign on circuit and a switch, to simulate a Bambi mode and/or Fog DRLs. I'd then turn off the DRLs via Forscan and use the fog lights as DRLs instead.
