Default Interested in a 2009 F150

I'm thinking about selling my 2010 Ram and picking up a 2009 F150. I like my Dodge but I want something 4wd, with more room, and I like the way the F150s look lifted more than the Rams.

I've been doing a little bit of research but wanted to ask about how much should I be looking to spend on a 2009 SuperCrew Lariat edition with 4wd and leather. I'm not sure what all this package comes with standard but a backup camera, navigation, and sunroof would be a plus along with 25-40k miles. Also, how much for the same thing only an FX4?

Then I would lift it after that.

Just FYI, the 2009 still had a 4 speed tranny and the 2010 switched to 6spd. Much better mileage and many people notice a big improvement in overall driving in the 2010 versus the 2009. Nothing wrong with 2009's, but 2010 is a big improvement.

I agree, look at 2010's, even the xl, which I have is a much better truck.

The 2008 had the 4 speed tranny. The 2009 has the 6 speed except for the 4.6l 2 valve motor.

Yes, 4 speed trannys were still an option for the 09s, but it wasn't standard, it was an option. Dude, still go with an 09 if ya want, but just make sure it has the 6 speed tranny--which if you go with a Lariat it will be a 6 speed. I just wanted to clarify that a 4 speed tranny wasn't standard for the 09s, it was an option.

I'm also looking at 09-10 F150's. Pricing will differ some from place to place. Around here I am finding trucks with the options you mentioned anywhere from $32,000 to around $38,000 on average. Some higher, and most of the ones that are less are 2wd. Lariats, and FX4's are pretty much the same prices give or take on options.

Good luck on your search. I'm heading out bright and early tomorrow morning to go look at some that I have found this weekend online.

My apologies for my previous post. I was under the assumption that all 09's had the 4speed. My bad

2009 was the first year of the 6speed
