Default Instrument Cluster Swap

Just out of curiosity, has anybody ever seen/done/heard of switching the newer truck's instrument clusters with our 9-14s. I cannot understand why we dont have a digital speedometer and its all I really want out of a new cluster.

The shape is slightly different so it would look out of place, The dash mounting is different so you would have to custom mount it. I also think the cable adapter is different so you would have to re-pin appropriately.

Just get a cheap OBD adapter, a magnetic phone mount, and a obd app that can display the speed. Or get an SCT x4 and choose that option on the gauge mode.

Do what every other person does....put your stock tune back on and take your tuner out of your truck....

You could just put your phone up with a speedo app running. No OBD required with GPS.
