Default Instrument cluster options

The cluster in my 2010 xl is toast and was wondering if anyone has swapped over to aftermarket gauges with any issues, or is another factory my only option.

Used OE replacements are still pretty easy to find at good prices. Not hard to swap them out either. I did this on my 2013 XL so I could have the productivity screen in the cluster.

There are services that will correct the mileage if you choose to go this route. Just understand that they often cannot get the mileage to an exact match--it might be plus or minus 50 - 75 miles off.

Also, if you do this and get a cluster from a truck that had features your truck doesn't have, it will probably give you "fault" messages because it doesn't detect that equipment. For example, if you don't have the trailer brake but the donor truck cluster did, you will get a "trailer brake module fault" message on the cluster. You'd have to use forscan to update the cluster.
