Question Instrument Cluster

My rpm needle light is not lit. I went to the dealer to see what bulb I need to get but the dealer said its LED and I have to buy a new cluster. Is that correct? My experience says has been with bulbs in the back of the cluster. Can anyone verify this? Anyone removed the cluster before?
I have a 2009 F150.

TIA,
MJ

Correct, all backlighting on the cluster is a circuit board mounted led...

Does that mean I'll need a new cluster for one thing not lit? Is the cluster repairable?

TIA,
MJ

You can remove the cluster, and solder in a new LED.
