A good old fashioned wrench. 1/4 to 1/3 turns at a time. Slow down some, get to know your truck.

EDIT: Or go get a ratcheting wrench if you want.

Well that was short lived. They aren't working again. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this point. Now I'm thinking it's something to do with the headlight "programming" with the drl. Going to double check but it seems when I disconnect the battery, they work on the first start up but not again after....

You need to re do the grounds, if they are not perfect it will drive you nuts.

Any temp solutions? I don't have a soldering gun. Would soldering be a permanent solution?

I'd invest in a new harness if I was in the same situation. Buy it from TRS and be done.

Quickest cheapest solution is to replace that end with a new one, I was less than impressed to see those when I got my harness and was careful to not over tighten resulting in what you have.

They sell connector kits in all auto parts stores, comes with a fairly cheesy crimping tool and an assortment of ends. <---Temporary repair to get you rolling.

Soldering is the best way for a permanent repair.

Were talking maybe $30 for a deluxe assortment and tool.

Cheers. I'm going to have the end changed tomorrow. Man, I really hope that will be the end of all this. I've also contacted the seller of the harness and they have offered a free replacement provided I mail them mine. Very generous!

Fixed the battery hook up aaaaaand....lights don't work!!

I've taken the harness right off and went back to my trusty old halogens. Broke the mounting tab for the harness in the process to boot! I'm going to visit a friend with the proper tools and have a go at it with him. If this fails, I'll grab a new harness and hope that solves it. This is, honestly, the last modification I do to this truck lol! I've aged 20 years in the last few days.

Thank you all for being a venting outlet for me!

I'd say getting some help is a great plan! If I were you I would still test the bulbs/ballasts as I suggested, as you still can't rule out one an issue with either. It's possible that it's not a problem with the ground.

Good luck, and keep us posted with your results.
