Any reason I haven't seen anyone with halogen PIAA H10 XTreme whites for their fogs?
4K with a slight blue tint so I would imagine pretty close to the OEM HID's. Halogen performance so actual application beyond aesthetics. Id just like to know why no one has these....

I got Piaa in mine, the lighting is 100x better I can see the distance I use to see in highbeams now in low. Only disappointment there not and visually white looking as I hoped for.

I had the PIAA XtremeWhites in my Ranger headlamps for awhile. They were overpriced. $60+ for a pair and they did no better than the Silverstars (the original Silverstars) I also had which were $40.
The ****ty thing about all of these blue tinted overdriven bulbs is that they only maintain max brightness for 6-12 months. After that they're no brighter than a stock halogen bulb, thanks in part to the blue tint which decreases lumen output.

cvu 9145's
Lets call it like this, all being "white light"
Putco = Bluish in color
OEM HID = White
Crystal Vision = Yellowish in color
I went out to grab a bite to eat and got to see the CVUs against large plate glass. The Putcos were a sharp bluish light and the CVUs are a nice bright halogen thats just a touch less white than the HIDs. The CVUs are definitely more white than the halogens that came from the factory.
I will say that the CVUs illuminate the low outside edges of the HIDs better than the factory halogens. The foreground light is vastly improved and the ditches are now visible. I think the CVUs will remain installed for a while.

How are they holding up and do you have night photos with the CVU's yet?

Night photos? Nah, they would be pretty pointless honestly. The OEM HIDs pretty much overpower the fogs out past 10-15' from the front of the truck. I have noticed that they CVUs do throw a touch more light to the ditches but not enough to really write home about. I'm still wishing for some more outer edge low light that the OEM HIDs lack. I understand that a good headlight retrofit would solve this need, but for $1900 I think I can live with it.

THANKS!!!
The people who run their super bright fog lights all the time when in traffic at night are worthy of a high beam flash.....simply put folks, the law in every state is that the factory LOW BEAMS are the only thing allowed when there is other traffic in front of you!!!
OK....deeeeeep breath here....rant over.......

They're holding up just fine actually.

If you're looking for an exact match, this isn't them. However, they are more white in appearance than a standard 9140 or 9145. The LEDs were slightly more blue than the HIDs, and the CVUs are slightly more yellow than the HIDs.

I just installed mine today to try to get a better color match with my HID's. I like the color but I'm not happy about the output, they produce a huge amount of glare, oncoming drivers will be pissed. I tried to adjust them down as much as the adjusting screw would allow (all the way backed out, right?) and I'm going to wait until it gets dark and try them again. If there's still glare, the halogens are going back in.
