I'm ditching my Putcos just as soon as my order for the Crystal Vision Ultras (9145) comes in. I like the appearance of the Putcos but after two weeks of having them I'm becoming less and less pleased with their output. Going back to a halogen, but a whiter halogen, and the CVU's claim to be a 4000K output.

I'm trying to get light down and out of where the OEM HIDs have a pretty significant gap/cutoff. I'll try to post pics when they come in.

Hi.

You mean yer trying to add MORE foreground lighting? The OEM's were designed that way to avoid same for a good reason.

Correction - 9145's are 45w bulbs - me stoopid, lol

Not so much foreground, but some additional light nearer the corners, i.e. roadsides, and yes I understand that foreground will be added as a result. Have to have one with the other.

Also, 9145's are not 65w. They are 45w. You're thinking of the 9005 and 9006 bulbs that are 65w and 55w respectively. I ran 9145 in my 2006 for 3.5 years.

Keep on searching...or convince me to unload mine once my CVUs arrive. I've only had the Putco's in for 2-3 weeks.
