I conected my light wires useing twist lock conecters so if I want to change color I just pop off the end panel and everything is right there
Hmmm, we didn't have to remove the trim panel to run the wires cleanly....

Nope. Just pull out the vent and and the end cover on the dash. note I did drill a 1/4 in hole in the duct behind the vent pod to run the tube so it would not kink when I snaped it back in the dash also the roush gauge has a hole in the back for the wires to come out.I sugest you cover the hole with duct [gorila] tape to keep dust and moisture out of the gauge.

Several reasons - The most obvious is so that you can determine the kind of boost the truck is making. It can also be used as a good diagnostics tool for future tuning and/or problems.......and maybe above all, at least as my low level of mods (on this truck anyways), is the gear head cool factor of it

That speedhut guage to match the 2012 cluster is awesome! I'd definitely be interested in where to get one

Boost is measurement of the backpressure from the turbo pushing air into the engine. Knowing what it should be and what is at any time can clue you in to what may be a problem.

If there are no changes made to the vehicle and...

Your boost level drops you know that inlet side of the engine is having issues, could be turbo/wastgate going bad, intake leaks, etc

Your boost level rises you know that there is likely a problem with the exhaust side of the engine, clogged catalytic convertor, muffler, collapsed pipe, etc..

Most people buy one just because they want to be able to tell people how much boost they make.

Here's the exact gauge that I put in the truck.... I just called the guys to discuss the specifics for its customization.... Call them yourself. They're a GREAT group of folks!

There was a 15% off sale going on when I bought the gauge, so with the customization, it cost me like $179 shipped.
