Installed Catch Can - MPG went DOWN
Anyone see a decrease in fuel mileage after installing a catch can on there ecoboost?? It doesn't make sense to me. I also cleaned both MAP sensors at the same time since they were coated in oil... I'm seeing a 1.2 MPG drop in fuel economy.

What type of catch can did you install...

Check your rubber lines. If they collapse. It'll cause a blockage...
Upgrade to braided lines.

Does it have check valves in the lines? Make sure the arrows point towards the engine...if not you will not vent and cause a drop in MPG...the instructions do not say this and can be misleading.....I have a UPR Dual valve catch can with the CSS...

Yeah, I made sure of that. They're definitely hooked up correctly

Try unplugging the battery (10 Minutes) and letting the computer re-map the new dynamic of air flow. You cleaning the map sensors may have caused the engine to over adjust for A/f Mixture.

You installed the check valves in the correct direction but are they working properly? Remove them and blow against the direction of the arrows. Are they closed? Try the other side and suck on them. Do they open? Verify all hose routings.
