Injen Intake for F150 Ecoboost
Just came across this. Injen intake for f150 Ecoboost. Claimed gains of 19hp and 33trq. Looks nice. http://www.facebook.com/InjenTechnology

I wouldnt want to run an intake on a newer vehicle without a tune, especially one with turbos. Maybe someone cracked the code on tuning. I'm really interested to see how much these trucks gain with intake exhaust and tune.

2 Great Mods I'm looking to do now!!
This Intake and the Heartthrob Exhaust.
I'm sure the ECU could handle these 2 mods by itself - but when a tune comes out for this truck it's going to be SWEEEEET!

I agree, but maybe the stock wideband sensors on this truck make it easier to mod without a tune? It can sense the changes and adjust accordingly versus the usual narrowband sensors. Also, the stock tubing looks straight through so maybe the Injen intake is just an new filter assembly with shiny piping.
Of course I'm just guessing and that might not be true.

^^^Yeah I kinda do too. But you never know. Not sure a big name company like that wouldnt lie about such high numbers....I mean why would they?
But from the sounds of this forum - nobody would even give it a try cause of fear of voiding their warranty.
Well, as soon as I get in touch with the distributor I'm going to order one.

don't have an EB, but 19hp is not too hard to believe. but you have to keep in mind, that's at the crank and not the rear wheels. CAI's really wake up a turbo motor. plus they look way better than plastic stock tubing. if the price isn't too high, it'd be worth it just to make the engine bay look better. as for voiding a warranty, this WON'T void it. the dealer would have to prove this part caused any failure before they could void anything. it's a just an add on, so if something happens, keep the stock stuff and stick it back on. problem solved...

It looks great but if all I heard while driving was a whistle/suction sound I wouldn't do it. I have an AFE on my dodge and it definitely sounds nice but got old on trips. I'm pretty sure I will tune mine especially if there's a gas mileage improvement. This looks like a nice piece but 19hp seems far fetched just like 30+hp from a cat back.
