How about bumber instead of bumper!

To me:

Wheel = tire + Rim. You balance a wheel
Rim = the metal part you mount the tire on
Tire =. The rubber part you drive in.

To my Dad:

wheel is the metal part, tire is the rubber part, and the rim is where the tire makes contact with the wheel (like the rim of a glass).

I actually can over look spelling mistakes. Mainly because of autocorrect. There was a guy recently, whom i assume meant "transaxle" but instead, "transsexual" came up.

Its the typing with an accent that annoys me. No offense to people who do this, but, "what y'alls doin about y'alls tonneau covers?" kills me.

I'm from Boston, and aside from using the word "wicked" from time to time, i don't type, and drop all my "R's."

"Hey, check out my ****in truck kid, its wicked pissah!"

Now THAT's funny right thar, I don't care who ya' are......still laughing!

You've got to be careful of that autocorrect. There are times I am typing on here and have caught it doing funny hints as well!!!

Your Dad and I must be a similar age. That's exactly how I look at it.

Most of the stuff mentioned in this thread is very sad, but this one makes me weep for the future:

"Take it for granite."

Besides, the rim is the outer part of the wheel to which the tire is mounted. I believe it goes back to the days when multi-piece wheels were commonplace. Rim, spokes...

How about "breath" instead of "breathe"? I've seen that one on every thread about a CAI on this board.

Actually M it's just ya'll, which is a contraction of you all. Both in themselves note the plurality of all persons in attendance. Now don't that jus dunk ya hat in the trough.
