Does it matter that these are 4-ohm instead of 2?

Edit: It says 4 at the top of the ad but 2 at the bottom. I think we're good. I'm placing an order. Just need to find the instructions for removing the door panels. Unless someone knows the link???

I have this one saved for when I do mine:

https://www.f150forum.com/f30/2009-2...val-how-78524/

I am just waiting for my speakers and adapters to come in.. Should of been here yesterday.

Ive got 2 sets of Infinity 6832CF on the way, about 100$ combined on amazon.

DONT forget to order a small 10 dollar PANEL REMOVAL KIT!

This is a pricy one:
Amazon Amazon

But you get the idea.

It is weird the way they list the ohms, they are 2 ohm but they are designed to use factory wiring that creates a 4 ohm load. I was a little worried but its been almost two years with 1 running off he stock HU and they are great.

Thank you.
Sorry, I have not taken anything apart yet. Are these a requirement, or convenience? My order has already shipped, just wondering if I need to get these. Also installing Alpine MRP-F300 Amp

I initially put Kappas in all four doors of my 11 FX2. Ran them off the deck for a few months and while they certainly were an improvement over stock, just weren't enough. So I added the sub and two amps and the sound processor and wired everything up still using the factory deck and controls. Still just not quite enough for me.

The problem I see in these trucks is not the speakers but the placement of them in the doors. They put them near the bottom, under the arm rest / door pull, and when you are driving, where is your leg? Close to that speaker grille further blocking sound.

I ended up removing the Kappas from the front doors and got a set of Boston Acoustic 6.5" components. Fabricated a mount for the 6.5" in the door and mounted the tweeter up high and toward the front of the door panel with the tweeter slightly angled towards the driver and passengers. The quality difference, brightness difference, etc was night and day. Phenomenal change.

Unfortunately Ford only had that place to put the speaker but one little addition and moving a tweeter up higher makes all the difference in the world.

No not a necessity just convenient. You can just cut the stock plug off and wire them in.

Amazon has these listed for $69.41 per pair and free super saver shipping.
I have the 680.9cs. Crossovers and tweeters included but more $$$. Sound was excellent with stock head unit. Better now with a new JVC.

Another Kappa fan here I have not installed them in my 2010 yet but ran them (componants) in my two previous F150's, good speakers..

I have been told by others Kappas really wake up when you put the power to them I tend to agree..

I've got 4 of the 6832s to install this weekend. I got mine off ebay from the harmon kardon/infinity outlet for $49 per pair

Same with the trim toolkit and the wiring adapter.
