Default Infamous fuse 27...

I noticed my contacts and fuse were getting hot/distorted, so I installed the fuse relocation kit. When done, it wouldn’t start. So I put a 20 amp fuse in the 27 slot and it started right up.

I thought the old fuse 27 slot would be dead.

Did I not relocate the correct wire?

Apparently not. Use this link to the instructions and go over it carefully. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6...nhOT0czZlF5M1k

That’s what I used. 😂

I did think the wire was too small.

Well, the good news is doesn’t take long...

Soooo....What color wire goes to fuse 27?

From the directions, it looked like a blue with red stripe wire. The light wasn’t great, so I obviously relocated the wrong wire.

My guess is you did use the wrong wire, and relocate some other fuse circuit. You could pull the new fuse and see what doesn't work now.

Going to say you cut the wrong wire. You cut the power wire and not the load to the fuel pump

We’ve established I relocated the wrong fuse, so what is the correct color wire? Blue with a red stripe? Is there more than one there?

Here is the wiring diagram for the fuel pump system. As you can see the called out "BU-RD" (blue/red) wire runs from fuse 27 to the fuel pump relay mounted in the fuse box. Just need to trace the wire from the fuse 27 location to the fuel pump relay. I have the kit to install myself, just haven't gotten around to installing yet. Hope this helps.

yes. Same color but one is fat and one is skinny.

I cut the wrong one!
