The fender flares will be the same black. Black on top of the hood? Cool but wouldn't be seen much unless you're inside the truck. Right now I have Nitto Grapplers and Bilstein 5100's on the short list, so that should help the looks a bit.
Suggestions....Examples...pictures.....anyone..... .anyone......Beuler....

I've got a silver truck and love it. You should've bought a black truck if you don't like the clean look. But I think if you should do black wheels and paint your outer grille black it will help a lot. Tint your front two windows if not already done and get the darker Harley headlights/taillights.

I'm just saying. It was nothing against black trucks. A black truck looks awesome when clean. I just didn't understand the original post.

When I bought my truck I bought silver because with the salt and everything up here thought it would be easier to keep looking clean. It was the only truck on the lot with the options I wanted and I had just sold my only mode of transportation and needed to get something to drive to work and back so I got it. Love the truck but if I could go back I would of gotten black or blue. Anyways to break it up I put new wheels on it and I think it helps a lot, Id like to do the harley heads and tails too.

I was just thinking the same thing as you were, and it struck me as humorous!

I'm a huge fan of silver trucks/cars. I like it just the way it is. pinstripes, even as thin as they are, would stand out a bit on the silver and look nice.
One you get those Grapplers and Bilstiens on it will look great.

Harley davidson/raptor head lights and tails would look really good. And some black wheels.

I use mud to break up the clean look, then wash it off when I get tired of the look

I have to agree with jumpseat, with silver you get a nice clean look, I also agree with all of his suggestions except I think a black powder coated billet grill with chrome outer ring would look nice. A set of black Smittybilt nerf bars would look real nice with the black rims. I also would strip all the badges off the side and tailgate (except the blue oval) to enhance the clean look and paint the fender flares silver.
Just my thoughts.

I love the look of my silver FX2....looks clean and solid. No butt ugly chrome, matching door handles and removed equally tacky looking FX decal. Nice smooth exterior.
