Default I'm so Confused (as usall)

OK,
I am getting ready to pull the trigger for real. I am getting ready to level my truck and just have to ask it for myself instead of reading all night while Im suppose to be working.
What in ya'lls opinion is the best setup to achieve the level?
The AS spacers or the Bilstien 5100's?
Big differance in cost, but I am ok with that. Overall opinion is what I am looking for.
Thanks guys!

Either is a good way to achieve a level stance. If you want an improved ride go with the Bilsteins - they greatly improved the ride of my 2010 FX4.

I have a spacer and it immediately made the ride hard, and the shocks seemed to go faster.

I am getting ready to upgrade to the Boss Suspension kit.

The spacer should keep a stock like ride.

I went with the Bilsteins, I wanted a level and improved ride. The shocks not only leveled the truck but got rid of a bunch of negative ride issues for me. The rear end was more controlled and less jittery when going over bumps, no more brake dive, more spirited driving in corners, etc.

A step up from there would be the F150lifts.com boss ultimate kit. It's about 1K but you get adjustability and new springs with a better spring rate.

I thought the same thing. No one that I have talked to with a spacer has said that their ride was stock anymore. Most from what I have seen (And those in person) have said the same... harder ride. Specifically when hitting bumps etc

I've had Autospring kits on my last 3 trucks and the ride was like stock. The Load Range E tires made it a little firmer.

Very interesting seeing as it does nothing to change spring tension or damping. I can see hitting bumps at high speed, because the spacer changes the length and the shock tops out quicker but it should ride smooth like stock under normal conditions.

I didn't even bother with the spacer kits as I wanted better damping along with the level. I'm eventually going to go with the Boss setup or a lift.

Nassty brings up a good point, most people that level usually put on bigger tires that have heavier load range which will make the ride stiffer.

OK, Thanks all; It looks like the BEST choice for me is going to be the Bilstien 5100's. Better ride quality and level at the same time. It seems to me what the 5100 will do for ride quality is the determining factor. "The rear end was more controlled and less jittery when going over bumps, no more brake dive, more spirited driving in corners" This is a major improvement as far as I can see. Again, Thanks all.

No problem. Keep in mind that the Bilsteins have several settings. I have mine on the highest which is 2.25" and to the eye it sits perfectly level BUT with a load it does sag as I'm stock in the rear.

I'll be adding bags soon to combat this when towing.
