I'm getting ready to order my '13 Platinum
I'm getting ready to place an order for a '13 Platinum EB Screw 4WD, just wondering if I missed anything that I should have ordered. (The truck is pretty much loaded anyway)
3.55 locking rear
Sunroof
Inner fender covers
Not getting max tow package, skid plates, tailgate step, cargo rack.
I plan on towing 2 boats, the larger one is around 6K lbs.
I feel the regular standard tow package should be fine for this.
Anything I may have missed?
BTW, it's going to be Ruby Red with Pecan interior. I can't wait!

X4, if your towing at all I would get the Max Tow as it has hill assist, and trailer sway control. I tow about 10K about 5 times year and you can tell its back there with the short wheel base, also two about 4K on bi weekly basis and I can tell its there as well sort of bumpy ride and I have max tow. if not then I would really tell it was there with trailer sway. Worth the few extra bucks in long run.

Platinum Ego Boostin
Get the 3.73 and max tow. The max tow gets an extra 500 lbs of payload with the EB in a SCrew. Payload is the towing limiting factor in the F150 and not the marketing hyped total trailer weight numbers. Payload = passengers + cargo + trailer tongue weight. That 6000 lb boat will have at least 600 lbs worth of tongue weight. The remaing payload with max tow and the boat attached will be 100lbs less than the standard tow package payload without the boat attached. Max tow is a must have especially with the platinum. The platinum trim level is 150 lbs heavier than an XLT.

I would consider max tow package, but I don't like those bigger mirrors and I don't want the truck to ride any harder than the standard suspension.
Don't they include 7-lug wheels with the max tow package? If so, would it be more difficult to find aftermarket wheels in 7 lug?
