Ill effects of leveling/rear blocks

I hadn't heard so much negativity about leveling kits until I recently found this forum. Now I am wondering what the concequences will be. This is my first Ford and I am really enjoying it. Back in the day we used to turn the torsion bars up on our Chevys and run bigger tires. That cost me a nice chunk when the idler arms, pitman arms, and ball joints had to be replaced. Here's a pic of my rig. I have a 2.5" Rough Country leveling kit and the 3" Auto Spring rear block kit in it. Rollin of 35's.
Take this stuff with a grain of salt, two of the posters called the A arms, control arms which are associated with solid axles not IFS.

Please look at the site listed and tell me if you see the word A Arm on it.
Please do not question someones integrity or credibility, because all you did was prove your ignorance.

I have the 1.5" autospring and have had no issues. My upper ball joints do not look that out of whack really. I don't understand how it could hurt them. Aren't they designed to move up and down as the suspension moves? I would think running larger tires/wider wheels would put more stress on front end.

Maybe I drive more than you guys, but I put 100k miles on my 05, all miles with a 2.5 spacer, 70k on an o7 with a 2" and my buddy has 80 or 90k on his 08 that I did when it was new, no damage or parts ever needed replacing. . I know the newer trucks are Slightly different, but nut much. I will be going with a 2 or maybe 2.5s on my '11 and our '13....once the factory tires are worn out.

Question...can you run the 5100's along with a leveling spacer? Say I have the 1.5 autospring and wanted just a hair more lift? Could I run the 5100's on the first setting? What are the increments on the 5100's?

That sounds like a bad idea. You might be able to do it but at the point you might as well just go and put the billies up a couple extra settings and lose the spacer

I'm by no means an expert, but I've had my Daystar 2" kit on for almost 100k miles, and haven't had any trouble. Truck rides and feels great. Mabye some of the issues people are having has to do with what brand they installed.
