Default If you wanted a 14 would you buy now or hold out?

I'll keep this pretty simple - I need a truck. I have held out for some time and will definitely purchase by march. I was sold on the 15s but everyday I move closer to a 14. For one, I love the style. Secondly it's the same motor and tranny. So I'm basically paying 10-15k more for a lighter and different looking body. Seems like 2017 will be the year to get a new model with the possible 10 speed and updated Eco.

All that being said- the discounts on the 14s are pretty good right now... And I want a lariat which are becoming fewer and fewer. So you guys think incentives will be better in February and march? What would you do? I'm trying to wait as long as possible to get the best deal, just don't wanna wait too long. I feel like I'm walking a fine line!

I bought mine 2-3 weeks ago and got 12k off, great trade in. I would say buy now before it comes down to slim pickings.

I would get while the getting is good. I'm not saying you won't find a better deal on the truck you WANT in a few months, but I'll be surprised if you do. I've been watching our local dealer that carries a lot of F-150s. Their '14 selection is getting slimmer and slimmer. Most people are getting upwards of $12k off. I bought my XLT in November and got $14k off.

Buy now while the selection is still halfway decent. I don't think that the discounts will get much better, but the selection is SURE to get worse. By not buying now you risk settling for a color or option package that you aren't completly happy with. For something that you are going to have to be hands on every day for years.....get exactly what you want, or it will eat at you every day. Don't ask me how I know.......

With the others. Rebates won't really get any better, but your options will get worse.

Buy now. And I agree the 14s are a DEAL. in 3-5 years you will be money ahead based on OTD price and residual value factored in by buying the '14 over the '15. Differences are minimal in the grnad schemes and also agree that a 10 speed tranny and engine update is something that could be far more material....

Any '14 will pull your vette, guy.

Depending on the model you should easily get 10 to 12K off on a '14 right now. Wait too long and it will be slim picken's as stated before! Lariat's are a great trim level so you can't go wrong there.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Been doing a lot of searching and may even have to fly and buy to get exactly what I want. I leaned hard to a lariat but man, there are some incredible deals on these loaded down FX4s... And I'm a fan of them as well so
may go that route. If I pull the trigger this weekend ill def post a pic.

Yeah I'm seeing the Lariats up to 10k off but have found a few fx4s for 12-13k off. I also have x plan so hoping I could add that to the rebates
