If you park like this, you're a douchebag

So what I have learned form this thread
1. It's a truck so who gives a crap if it looks nice
2. If the vehicle didn't cost $1 million or more who gives a crap if it has a door ding
3. Some people are so obsessed over what others do they cannot stand the fact that they use up two parking spots even if there are 5,000 other open spots. They are still a douche for taking up two.
4. Some people wax their truck obsessively
5. If you don't agree with my opinion you are a douche
Full disclaimer -
When I drive my F150 to work, I park at the top of the parking structure and take up two spots. There are plenty of other open spots around me. My other vehicle had two small dings on the passenger's side before I started working here. Now it looks like someone took a ball peen hammer and hit the passenger's side from front to back every two to three inches. I didn't park it anywhere else except parallel a couple of times at a car show so ALL of that is from here at work. THIS is why I park the F150 the way I do at work.
Everywhere else I try to get an end spot and park as far against the curb as I can or park as far out as I can where there are many open spots around me. My F150 is the first new vehicle I EVER have owned and I plan on keeping it as long if not longer than my Excursion which was 10 years. People would swear the Ex was fairly new because it was so nice inside and out even though it had over 100,000 miles on it. When you opened the door it smelled like a new car with leather interior.

-You park like a D-bag.
Keep justifying though.

Here is what I don't understand:
People saying they park in "the back" with "lots of spots"
Then they also say they take up 2 spots.
How is this different than taking 2 spots up front?
You are still taking 2 spots.
If there are so many spaces and you are in the back why not just park in 1 spot?
If you seriously believe that taking 2 spots "in the back" is preventing anyone from parking near you, you live in fantasy land.
It's like a thief trying to say "but I only stole a little bit and nobody was gonna buy it"

I park at the back of parking lots. I park in a single space. Why do I park at the back? Because I don't want anyone parking next to me. I got enough door dings in college... door dings in a vehicle that I worked quite a few hours to pay for.
An F150 isn't a high end sports car but you know... I believe people should take pride in their possessions. Owning a vehicle is really a wonderful thing that people take for granted.

misses 3 on the tree
I park away from the front of lots. I don't mind the walk. I park between the lines. I am amazed how often I come back out and someone is in the spot next to me. Right between their lines. Its funny. Makes me chuckle.
I see douche parking all the time at work, amazes me. There are a lot of people who can't drive.

If someone wants to park away from people and walk - only a douche is going to park next to them (whether they are within or outside of the lines).... I don't see where parking is analogous to stealing.

On more meds than ymeski
Double park on city property, get a ticket. Double park on a private business parking area, get towed. Front, back; it's all the same to the tow guy looking to make his cash.

I understand parking away from the masses. I DONT understand parking away from the masses and double parking. If some asshat wants to park beside you for some unknown reason, they are going to double park as well, but you ever think that they park there bc they don't want dings either, and figure that you are courteous enough to not smack them with your door? I mean there is breaking point here ppl, it's like sending your kid to school in bubble wrap.
