If you park like this, you're a douchebag

Too many people worry about what someone else does. If someone parks at the back of the lot and there are plenty of open spaces closer to the front, then anyone worrying about it is the douche.
Only a friggin' hot-headed idiot would mess with someone else's car (the chalk was awesome), but putting shopping carts around a car, that could blow into the car is dumb. With CCW more prevalent, people need to mind their own business. If somebody put carts around my car or keyed it, they're just looking for an ***-whoopin' (I don't ccw.)
If you really care about the appearance of your car, don't go to wal-mart in the first place.

My point was no f150 is special. So don't park out and take up more than one space pretending like it is, because it's not. It's just Douchey.
I don't give a **** who pays for your truck, not everyone is out to throw carts and doors at your truck.
Funny. This forum always gives people **** over 2wds and pavement queens, yet you're aftraid of a dang door ding

I take a lot of personal pride in the way my vehicles look, no scratches, no dent's, no dings. My F150 is nearly 3 yrs. old and ppl comment it looks brand new. It's clean, it's a head-turner, waxed every month (Cept winter) sometimes 2X a month. I don't think anyone has a fear of door dings, I'm not a Dr. so maybe that phobia exists...but I'm gonna go with "Not". It does say something about personal pride and the way others perceive you...crappy driver, low life, scumbag, loser, dirt bag, if you didn't drive like a jerk you're vehicle wouldn't be all beat up. If that person doesn't care about their own vehicle they certainly don't care about yours.
This is a category I don't care to be in.

It's ok, if you lurk these forums long enough you will see a lot of "opinion" from this guy.
Here's my take on the whole "parking" and "avoiding damage" thing:
My truck is my first ever brand new vehicle and it is meaningful to me. I do not aspire to own a Ferrari or Porsche. My truck is what I like and what I want, and I work hard to be able to afford it. Simply being a truck does not mean it is okay for it to be damaged, accidentally or not. I do not do things in such a way to draw specific attention to myself when parking but it is ridiculous and inappropriate for someone to get their jollies by "messing" with other people's stuff which includes going out of their way to crowd your vehicle if you have chosen to park it a distance away from the other vehicles. When possible, I will park in an end spot and crowd the curb to space myself away from the next spot. I will put 8-10 spaces between me and the next car when a large lot has the room. When I do have to park where I will be surrounded, I make sure to keep my truck centered in the space to minimize the chances of damage, assuming others park reasonably straight.
For someone to simply and generally state that someone's property is "nothing special" is ridiculous and idiotic. Treat your things any way you please, but to give someone crap because they want to take care of their stuff? Shut your stupid mouth.

..and if it's anything like my Ford Truck - it cost a lot of hard earned dollars, that I would rather not see scratched, dented, or otherwise abused by some mouth-breathing ****head in a Walmart parking lot. [/end rant]

Yeah, it's high 60s here today. We haven't gotten any snow this year( thank god), but it has rained every week for the whole year it seems.

So what I have learned form this thread
1. It's a truck so who gives a crap if it looks nice
2. If the vehicle didn't cost $1 million or more who gives a crap if it has a door ding
3. Some people are so obsessed over what others do they cannot stand the fact that they use up two parking spots even if there are 5,000 other open spots. They are still a douche for taking up two.
4. Some people wax their truck obsessively
5. If you don't agree with my opinion you are a douche
Full disclaimer -
When I drive my F150 to work, I park at the top of the parking structure and take up two spots. There are plenty of other open spots around me. My other vehicle had two small dings on the passenger's side before I started working here. Now it looks like someone took a ball peen hammer and hit the passenger's side from front to back every two to three inches. I didn't park it anywhere else except parallel a couple of times at a car show so ALL of that is from here at work. THIS is why I park the F150 the way I do at work.
Everywhere else I try to get an end spot and park as far against the curb as I can or park as far out as I can where there are many open spots around me. My F150 is the first new vehicle I EVER have owned and I plan on keeping it as long if not longer than my Excursion which was 10 years. People would swear the Ex was fairly new because it was so nice inside and out even though it had over 100,000 miles on it. When you opened the door it smelled like a new car with leather interior.

In my opinion if you take up two spots in the middle of nowhere and it's not affecting anyone, then who cares. If you take up two spots in the prime area where parking is busy and people are trying to find spots, then you're an entitled douche.
Don't want your car to have someone parking next to it? Inconvenience yourself and park further away, don't inconvenience someone else.
