Ideas to mount radar detector.
#41
For those using the Blendmounts or the homemade equivalent, how hot does it get during the summer?
I bought a Blendmount for Dodge Challenger and only used it for 2 days because the mount got so hot I could not install the radar detector without burning my fingers! (I removed the radar detector to install a sunshade)
My Blendmount got too hot to touch!
Do the F150 Blendmount installs have that issue?

Suction cups are for kids lol. this is my $4.00 version of the blendmount. Same idea as the blendmount but at a more acceptable price. Parts are all from home depot and took me literally 10 minutes to assemble. You also need the hardwire kit for a clean install because nothing looks more ghetto than that cord running from your detector to the 12v plug in.
Parts list
1 L bracket(top piece)
1 T bracket(middle piece)
3 sets of screws and bolts
1 ring thing(forgot what its called lol its basically a ring type clamp where you screw the bolt and it tightens, you need this to mount to your mirror).
the bottom piece is your clip that comes with your detector
