Your 17s are aftermarket, so as long as they have 5" or less of backspacing, most lifts will work. If not, the Rancho, and only the Rancho will work with just about any wheel because they work with the stock wheels and their insane BS.
Lol...yea...that would've been pointless...yea i am pretty sure the NVs have 4.5" backspacing. The 4" kit rancho makes is sweet...

With 4.5", you can get any lift available, to my knowledge. Why do you think the BDS lift won't work? My money would buy either Rancho or BDS, hands down. Ranchos make the whole front end so tight, and BDS's are built like brick s**t houses.

Called BDS and was told it wouldn't work on the 17s. The BDS is a badass kit though. If it all fits, awesome, but with the discount, don't think I can go wrong w/Rancho and 9000s all around. I've heard nothing but good things about both.

I just installed the 6" Rancho with 17"s. Love it. The kit is very well made.

Did they saw because of BS or because they're 17" wheels? Either sounds weird and I can't understand why. I'd probably get the Rancho just because it's a better value and I never go offroad, but would want the tightened feel. Wish they still made kits for 04-08s

I emailed BDS one time regarding 17" wheels and he said that it will not work because of the size of the steering knuckle. It worked until they updated the lift kit in 2010.

guy i spoke to said 17"s. however, when i called rancho, they said the same thing - my guess is the "techs" are reading off the directions pdf that indicates no smaller than 18.

when i spoke to another vendor, they called a shop and said same as you...as long as the backspacing is under 5" you are good to go, for the rancho anyhow. bds we never talked about since the price for the rancho w/9000s and install is unreal...

Huh, this is the first I'm hearing of ANY lift not working with all diameter wheels. I'm a 20s guy, so it's never come up as an issue for me, but that's still weird.

Any time I see price I just see that cause I usually install stuff myself. I'm too cheap and my time isn't worth a whole lot haha. I may have to pay for install on my lift if I can't find the time or my neighbor's shop is occupied. Aside from cost, I don't trust any shops to install things the way I would install them.
