i'm actually headed out to the dunes tomorrow and now you got me worried, i was so fired up about my 5100's and seeing how they will do and now you got me scared thinking they will break lol. they are set at the highest setting and so far everything has been great, did this happen after awhile? did you hit anything hard before? did you take it of any sweet jumps lol? i need to make sure this thing gets there and back lol

How do these springs compare to the stockers? Are they stiffer, softer? I will never really off road my truck especially anything like the Raptor was designed, but I would like a little more stiffness in the front end now to match the rear of my truck.

I have a 2005 F150 with a Pro Comp Stage I 6" lift. The rear is on blocks but it rides great and flexes pretty well, which is surprising. However, the front has the stock strut on a 6" spacer and is the worst ride I've ever experienced and does not flex at all. It also has horrendous bump steer so bad the tires chirp.

So, I am looking into some new coilovers to replace the strut and spacer. Pro comp has a stage II upgrade kit but I heard that those coilovers aren't very good. I'm looking for something that will flex, and absorb bumps when I'm going fast. Something less than $1500, so King's are out of the question. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Truck looks great, but man, if you where to crank three inches of preload on those springs your droop travel would be severely limited off road. I'd look at a set of aftermarket UCA's to try and gain back some clearance between the spring and upper control arm at that point. Plus coliovers paired with uniball upper control arms is a match made in heaven anyway.. That just scratches the surface though!

Everyone who is ready to jump ship after one pair of bilsteins croaked, give me a break.. 1 pair that is known to have failed on this forum out of how many thousands, millions maybe sold...

Dayum. Your truck is awesome! I love the Method wheels. Manufactured in my hometown. Are they 18"s?

The ICONS are sweet. I've considered getting some. Do you have any pics of the one that's bent?

I love your Icons, ran them on super dutys, and they worked great. Best thing is if you find something you don't like, or want a rebuild they are there and listening. Ucas would be a great addition, Icon is a little steep(could be worth it for some), but make sure you check out Camburg, they add a little caster and camber(helps with alignment) vs Icon. Nonetheless, sweet set up. Blistien 5100s seem to work and hold up well in the back, just might be a little outa place with your setup. Could slap some Icon stickers on them, little posing, but would work well. Again good job.

He's not the only one, same circumstances not really beating on them, just tooling around. one broke and thank God dropped into the lower control arm. this problem actually seems very common with people using these on the highest setting. This also happened only a few days after i installed them, so they were brand new. Bilstien did replace them but I won't take the truck back out with these on, they'll get replaced with either kings, icon or fox.

FX4life = When an aftermarket product fails in the field in what I consider to be a situation where they should have held up... I bail!! It caused my brand new 34" tire to slam into the wheel well messing up the alignment of the fender ... ($33,000 truck with 5000 miles on it)

Bilstein can suck it

The Icon coilovers are night and day better ... you get what you pay for in this world... especially with off road parts.

Still running them on the stock arms with no issues.. I have 80,000 hard miles on my truck... 4 wheeling, sand dunes, towing, even some jumps... I had an alignment done yesterday and the tech told me they were barely out of spec.

The second pic is on my 12k mile F150

The rear ones seem to hold up to almost anything, so I will go out on a limb and say its just the front struts.
